Here is a comment made by Robert Parker on his forum : here

I have some difficulties to understand some reactions of Robert Parker in recent periods.

This man is the most respected wine critic in the World. His fame is based on his unparalleled talent to judge wines.

So, he should stay out of any quarrel. Why did he say that the DRC 2002 wines are at best mediocre (see my message dated October 31st 2006 on this blog) ?

If we remember that Robert Parker has organised a dinner named "dinner of the century",  a few years ago, with Joël Robuchon, where very old wines were drunk, why does he say that very old wines are either fakes or vinegar ?

He should never say so, and stay in a neutral position.
